Yuliya Tymoshenko arrived in Luhansk on Sunday, March 3 in spite of the resistance from the Prosecutor General’s office, which safeguards the interests of criminal oligarchic clans, in spite of the informational blockade imposed on her by the national TV channels. The Supreme Court of Ukraine passed a ruling according to which the opposition leader regained the right to travel. A reminder that when Yuliya Tymoshenko was visiting Western Ukraine in January, peopled filled house full at her meetings, dozens thousands of people cordially welcomed her as a close friend, on whom they pin their hopes of a new life. The government was downright scared of such an unheard-of rise of the national spirit, force and unity of Ukrainian people. It resorted to its usual methods of blackmail and intimidation.
As a result, there came new persecutions of her family members and former colleagues, a “strange” car crash, after which Tymoshenko was taken to hospital with serious injuries. We can also add here the decision of Kyiv court of appeals annulling the ruling of the Pechenrsk district court, which restored her MP status.
And at last, Yuliya Tymoshenko, a charismatic woman politician, to whom many men politicians yield and whose will power and charm attract more and more potential voters, came to Luhansk.
