Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko believes that there will be no early parliamentary elections. She said this during a press conference on Tuesday, October 7.
When asked what she will do in case of early elections, if she’s ready to leave her post as Prime Minister, Tymoshenko responded: “I categorically do not want to talk about early elections right now. I believe this is nonsense, a crime against the country and an absolutely irresponsible political step.”
“That’s why I’m fighting for the creation of a coalition in parliament, and the decision to create this coalition doesn’t depend on the people’s deputies but on one person – the President,” she noted.
“And until I accomplish this, until we create a democratic coalition, I don’t even want to hypothetically talk about any format of early elections. I believe that we’ll be able to preserve the parliament, the country and stability,” said Tymoshenko.
“If the President simply comes to his senses, the democratic coalition will be created in half an hour,” stressed Tymoshenko.
