Ukraine confirms its intention to support Russia in accedence to the World Trade Organization. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced at a joint press conference with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Volodymyr Putin. “Ukraine confirms its stand on maximum advance of Russia’s accedence to the WTO,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine informed that in the course of today’s talks the governments of Ukraine and Russia had agreed to create a special working group in the framework of the inter-government trade-economic commission which would deal with issues on strengthening bilateral trade-economic relations between Ukraine and Russia, in particular, study an opportunity of improving mechanisms of home markets protection and export and import authorization.

The Ukrainian Premier is confident that the creation of such group will encourage strengthening of bilateral trade-economic relations between the countries after Ukraine’s joining the WTO.
