Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko counts on signing an agreement with the Russian Federation on natural gas supplies to Ukraine already this week. She told a briefing after the selector meeting with heads of regional state administrations.
“As regards the negotiation process with the Russian Federation – I hope to succeed in agreeing with the Prime Minister and the RF Government, with “Gazprom” and already this week to pay a working visit to Moscow for signing all necessary documents about natural gas supplies,” Yulia Tymoshenko stated.
Moreover, the PM informed that as of today 9.5 billion cubic meters of gas are pumped to gas depositories of Ukraine which belongs to the NJSC “Naftohaz”. “We count on being able to pump and pay 16.5 billion cubic meters of gas before the heating season,” she noted.
At that the Head of Government reminded that all the previous years there was no gas in gas depositories of Ukraine at all which could belong to the NJSC “Naftohaz”: “Corruption structures pumped gas and than revalued it and sold to the country at the following year’s prices”.
Yulia Tymoshenko told that due to the Government’s efforts all criminal and corruption schemes with gas pumped to gas depositories of the country had been stopped. She assured that NJSC “Naftohaz” would sell gas at this year’s price.
