Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko thanked the Cabinet members for their efficient work in which President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschenko takes pride. Beginning the Government’s sitting, Yulia Tymoshenko informed that the President of Ukraine during his visit to New York had highly evaluated the Ukrainian Government’s work. “It’s very pleasant because at least in New York we can get positive evaluations of the Government’s activity,” Yulia Tymoshenko noted.

According to her, the President of Ukraine, in particular, noted that professional macroeconomic policy had been successfully formed in Ukraine and also focused attention on the fact that during January-August of 2008 the GDP growth totaled to 7,1 % and called it a “record showing”.

“Separately, he (the President) noted that Ukraine had succeeded to radically change relationship with investors for better. In my opinion, the ultimate phrase that Ukraine is presenting today very serious modern and interesting East European market is splendid at all,” Yulia Tymoshenko cited the President’s statement.

At that she thanked the Cabinet members for their work: “I want to thank the whole Government for such work and for what the President is proud of, when he goes abroad at least”.
