Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is blaming President Viktor Yushchenko for the collapse of the coalition between the Our Ukraine - People’s Self-Defense faction and the Yulia Tymoshenko bloc.

She made this statement after ministers from OU-PSD left the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, September 3.

“The President is behaving irresponsibly and because of his order the coalition collapsed yesterday,” she said.

According to Tymoshenko, ever since she became Prime Minister, the President and his Secretariat have been doing everything they can to destroy the coalition.

“The President and his Secretariat didn’t stop at using any means to bring the democratic coalition to a state of collapse,” she said.

Tymoshenko expressed hope that the political forces interested in preserving the coalition will find a way out of the crisis situation that has emerged.

Among such groups she named BYuT and the deputy group People’s Self-Defense.

Tymoshenko stressed that she believes that the BYuT and OU-PSD coalition should continue to exist.

As was reported in the media, earlier the Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense parliamentary faction had decided to leave the coalition.
