Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has called the statement by Head of the Presidential Secretariat Viktor Baloha regarding the government’s lack of action in connection with the fire at the 61^st ammunitions depot in the city of Lozova, Kharkiv oblast “unoriginal.”

 

“We’re probably also guilty of Hurricane Katrina and all tsunamis in the world. I think that this person (V. Baloha) isn’t original. All he does is shift responsibility to those around him,” said Tymoshenko.

 

Prime Minister believes there’s no point in paying attention to Baloha’s statement.

 

“There’s no need to pay attention to all this minutia, because it’s just funny already,” she noted.  

 

Yulia Tymoshenko also emphasized that the government will find out who is responsible for the blaze.

 

As reported, today the Head of the Presidential Secretariat stated that the fire at the ammunitions depot in the city of Lozova became one more consequence of the government’s unprofessional actions. 

 

Yesterday, August 27, at the Southern Operations Headquarters of the Ukraine Armed Forces, located on the territory of the Defense Ministry’s A0829 military unit, a fire spread from dry grass to the ammunitions depot. The first explosions were heard at 16:15.

 

The Military Prosecutor for the Central Region filed a criminal case in connection with the explosion of ammunition in accordance with section 2, article 425 (Negligence in the military service leading to drastic consequences) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
