Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has congratulated Artur Aivazian on Olympic gold in bullet shooting at the XXIX Olympic Games in Beijing.

“I sincerely congratulate You on the Olympic gold. This reward is especially weighty not only for you but also for the whole national team because it was won in a no-compromise fight with strong rivals.

I know and I am confident that You fully realize solemnity of this event both for our Homeland and millions of fans. Your gold reward convincingly proves good traditions of the Ukrainian shooting school and strengthening of its positions in the international sports arena.

I am sure this victory will add faith in its forces to the whole Olympic team of Ukrainian athletes, and strengthen their confidence in future victories,” the Premier’s greeting telegram reads.
