Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has congratulated Ukrainian fencers Olha Zhovnir, Olha Kharlan, Olena Khomrova, Halyna Pundyk on winning gold medals in the Women's Team Saber at the XXIX Olympic Games in Beijing.

“Dear girls! Accept my hearty congratulations on the occasion of Your gold medals that has become a worthy gift to our state. This victory over titled competitors is evidence of Your steadfast will to victory and inexhaustible natural potential, high professional technique of coaches who have trained you for the most prestigious competition.

I believed that Ukrainian women would demonstrate to the whole world that they can win. You have realized my expectation and I warmly thank You for this. I hope for your further victories which will improve the prestige of our Homeland in the world community. I believe in your potential and talent,” the PM’s greeting message says.

Yulia Tymoshenko wished Ukrainian sportsmen strong health, personal happiness and new peaks.
