The Yulia Tymoshenko faction is not reviewing the issue of including norms about giving Russian the status of a state language in the draft of the Ukrainian Constitution.
Prime Minister and leader of the bloc Yulia Tymoshenko announced this today during a press conference in the Cabinet of Ministers.
“Our political force is not changing its principles and goals, therefore, our position is clear and understandable: there is one state language – Ukrainian. And any information about a difference position is false,” said Yulia Tymoshenko.
As was reported earlier in the press, on July 29, people’s deputy Olena Bondarenko (Party of Regions) stated that BYuT is ready to include norms on having two state languages in their version of changes to the Constitution.
