The no-confidence vote against the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced by the Party of Regions failed a vote in the Verkhovna Rada.
174 deputies voted “for” (172 from the Party of Regions and 2 from OU-PSD).
Prior to the vote, the Prime Minister satisfied the opposition’s wish that the no-confidence vote be addressed first.
“The government has to do everything to preserve the chances to review the draft changes to the 2008 State Budget today,” said Yulia Tymoshenko.
The Prime Minister noticed that the government has no reason to worry because it has results to report to society, and her speech about 30.4 billion hryvnias in increased revenues to the state budget will become a logical continuation of the government’s report on half a year’s work.
The Verkhovna Rada sent the draft changes to the state budget for a repeat first reading.
