Within a year Government is planning to carry out a reform of coal industry. This was informed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko in her interview for the journalists after attending the Frunze coal mine of RovenkyAntracite enterprise, Luhansk region. “Future and even present of the coal industry exist, we just have to find the right approach to this and within a year our team will demonstrate how the branch has to operate,” Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized.

Prime Minister imparted that in the process of elaborating the program of coal industry reforming she will consult with specialists. According to her, today an understanding in terms of realization of a pilot project in reforming the branch on the basis of the Frunze coal mine of RovenkyAntracite enterprise has been achieved.

Yulia Tymoshenko was quoted as saying that such a project will act within three weeks and will concern the issues of investing into the coal mine and forming of pricing policy for coal. The Premier is convinced coal domain can become recompensed only under the conditions of forming the right pricing policy for coal. At the same time the head of Government drew attention to the fact that today’s coal price is twofold down from the market one.
