Premier Yulia Tymoshenko believes that President Yushchenko should make an effort to preserve the democratic coalition.
She stated this during an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda and Interfax-Ukraine in Brussels.
“I’m convinced that the democratic coalition will be preserved. There are some complications and I think that the President and his part of the democratic coalition will resolve them,” she said.
Tymoshenko added that she supports the actions by her faction, which blocked the work of parliament on Thursday.
“I believe this is tied to all the provocations that the Party of Regions is preparing. Our team never gets in involved in things that are ineffective and negative. This means that there was a need for our deputies to block the tribune,” she added.
According to Tymoshenko, the Party of Regions is working on “exciting the situation” in the state.
“Their acts are aimed at destabilizing the country and nothing else,” she said.
When asked if the Party of Region’s end goal is the dismissal of Tymoshenko’s government, she said, “They don’t have enough might to force a dismissal.”
“The Party of Regions plan for my dismissal started from the first day after the early elections. They have had no other thoughts. But as with all their hubbub, it will end in nothing,” said Tymoshenko.
