Salary arrears decreased by 36.4 million hryvnias in April.
Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko announced this during a press conference.
She also noted that the government intends to completely repay all back salaries but did not indicate a timeframe.
Yulia Tymoshenko also confirmed the Cabinet’s intention to listen to governors in early June during the government summary session on May, during which they will analyze their economic activities, in particular the battle with inflation.
The government is going to recommend that the three governors in whose regions inflation is the highest be dismissed, said the Premier.
