The leader of the BYuT election list to Kyiv City Council Yulia Tymoshenko has stated that the democratic coalition in the Verkhovna Rada exists only legally.
Tymoshenko stated this during a meeting with voters from the Obolonsky district in Kyiv on Tuesday, May 20.
“Does the democratic coalition exist? Legally is exists and it functions in parliament. However, there is basically a different coalition that includes all the oligarch clans, law enforcement and defense bodies, the Party of Regions and representatives of our brothers in the democratic coalition,” sad Tymoshenko.
She also said that she reached this conclusion following the events around the Black Sea shelf.
“After we cancelled Vanco’s license, they called me out to the NSDC for a scolding and said: “Why are you ruining the investment climate?” I would like for those who work in the NSDC or head it to open a trading post at the market for $12,000,” said Tymoshenko.
According to her, during the NSDC meeting, President Yushchenko charged that a criminal case be filed against Minister of Ecology Vasyl Filipchuk, who cancelled Vanco’s special permit.
“They also promised me some things there,” added the Premier.
At the same time, Tymoshenko once again promised that she will not resign on her own free will. “Let Viktor Baloha and his secretariat not even dream that I will slam the door and leave,” she said.
“I want for everyone in the orange team to put their hands on a table and say that those hands never stole,” proposed Tymoshenko.
“But I know every pair of those hands very well,” added Tymoshenko.
She said that she will continue to voice her principles. “They can’t bury us that easily. We will continue to act until the President and the Prosecutor General finally start serving you and not one another,” she added.
The Premier proposed changing the Constitution to allow a no-confidence referendum to be held once during the tenure of the President or the Verkhovna Rada.
