Yulia Tymoshenko is shocked by Viktor Yushchenko’s decision to include Leonid Kuchma in the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv advisory council.
“There is one bit of news that I can’t not share with you. And when I read it I was shocked,” said Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the BYuT election list to the Kyiv City Council, during a meeting with voters in the Obolonsky district in Kyiv on Tuesday, May 20.
“Our President has appointed Kuchma to the advisory council of a university. Why will he be teaching kids? What will he be observing?” asked Tymoshenko.
She added that the President should have let us know about such decisions back during the Orange Revolution.
“Today I turned on the TV and see Kuchma sitting, handing out presents and care packages to children. Although Kuchma is the one who should have been receiving care packages [in jail] for the past 3.5 years,” noted Tymoshenko.
