Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has stated that her government works for results and not the presidential elections.
She stressed this in her statement to the press on Tuesday.
“In spite of all the opposition and obstacles, we will do everything that is necessary for the country,” she assured.
Tymoshenko stressed that for her team there is “no alternative” to the democratic coalition and that she will do everything do overcome “bad processes in politics that are inspired solely by the battle for the future presidential elections.”
“If all the presidential elections turn into war, destruction of the life of the country, then it’s better than we think about them and how to alleviate such things in society,” she noted.
“But I want to assure you that today we are working exclusively on results, and not on any elections. They’ve tired people enough with elections, fuss and endless confrontation,” stated Tymoshenko.
“Today we passed a very clear decision: I will no longer watch as people’s hryvnias and kopecks dissolve in the wind, eaten away by inflation caused by those who are fighting with the government, with me personally, and are getting ready for the next presidential elections in 2009,” stressed the Premier.
“I’m not getting ready for the next elections. I want to serve the country every day and provide results,” she assured.
