Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is convinced that the process of introducing changes to the Constitution should take place exclusively in the Verkhovna Rada. She stated this today during a briefing.
“I think that today all the parliamentary factions and the president have agreed that changes to the Constitution are necessary,” noted Tymoshenko.
“I believe that this work needs to be done by everyone together, not by created groups that will issue constitutional changes. This work can only be done in the Verkhovna Rada. Our team will be an active participant in the constitutional process. And we will provide all the changes and supplements that will then be harmonized with the Verkhovna Rada and every faction, and we will try to harmonize them with the President,” stressed the Premier.
In addition, Tymoshenko assured that she is taking on the responsibility of batting inflation. “Under no circumstance will I transfer responsibility for anything that takes place in the country, that’s related to the government, including inflation, to anyone else,” stated Tymoshenko.
“But then I want to see the governors, parliament, government, President and National Bank implement anti-inflationary measures, and not sabotage them,” she added.
