Ukraine is ready to defend its position in the dispute with Vanco in international courts.
Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko stated this today during a briefing.
“We will do everything to make sure that this defense is professional,” she said.
As was reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the office involved the British company Barlow Lyde & Gilbert LLP and the international law firm Astapov Lawyers in the independent legal analysis of the production sharing agreement with Vanco. According to their preliminary assessment, there are substantial observations regarding the conditions and procedures of the production sharing agreement competition with Vanco International Ltd.
As Yulia Tymoshenko noted, no state demands were made during the signing of the agreement.
In addition, according to her, during the competition, the joint committee assessed the proposal by Vanco International Ltd. (Bermuda Islands) about the financial resources of another company - Vanco Energy (USA), which did not take on any financial obligations.
