Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told the Government sitting about the growth of gross domestic product of Ukraine in January-February. In January-February this year this showing equals to 5,8% (in January last year the growth equaled to 4,9%). According to the Head of Government, forecasts say that this positive tendency will be improved.
Yulia Tymoshenko underscored that record showings of the production rate increase is fixed in the mechanical engineering - 34,9% growth. The Premier also said that positive tendency is observed in rise of real incomes of population: if during 2007 this showing equaled to 12,8% then in January 2008 - 23,4%.
“We have significantly increase real incomes of people, obtained considerable GDP growth and systematically, monthly reduce inflation,” Yulia Tymoshenko noted. According to the PM's convictions, this is an evidence of the sound economic development. “I can say that macroeconomic level of our policy is very positive,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine announced.
