The BYuT parliamentary faction will not attend the March 18 session of the Verkhovna Rada if the resolution on early mayoral elections in Kyiv is not the first issue on the agenda.
Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko stated this during a press conference on Sunday, March 16.
She expressed her hope that OU-PSD will support BYuT on this issue.
“One of the points of the coalition agreement clearly mentions early elections in Kyiv. Therefore, either the resolution on early elections will be put first on the agenda of the session of the Verkhovna Rada, or we will not participate in the work of the Verkhovna Rada,” said Yulia Tymoshenko.
The Premier also announced that BYuT has submitted a draft resolution on early elections in Kyiv, which are to take place 45 days after the necessary resolutions are passed by parliament.
