Yulia Tymoshenko bloc initiates conducting of all-Ukrainian referendum on amending the Constitution. on September, 30.

About this BYUT leader Yulia Tymoshenko reported during press-conference on Wednesday, July, 18.

According to her words all-Ukrainian referendum must be conducted simultaneously with early elections to Verkhovna Rada.

As Tymoshenko reported, 9 issues should be put on all-Ukrainian referendum. In particular, as per her words, these questions will concern the form of ruling in Ukraine, the expedience of electing and recalling of judges by people, giving more rights to the local self-government.

In addition, BYUT leader marked that referendum questions concerning granting of constitutional status to parliamentary opposition, abolition of inviolability and privileges for top state officials, deputies of Ukraine and judges, deprivation of mandates of deputies of all levels who failed to fulfill promises given to people, and question on simplification of procedures on referendums conducting will be put.

In particular, Tymoshenko reminded that before BYUT had developed amendments to the Constitution concerning abolition of deputy inviolability and had signed these amendments by all members of the faction (129 out of 150 required).

"I personally sent these amendments to the Constitution, and attached a letter to every leader of present parliamentary factions with the request of support. Some did not answer, and some answered that it was not the right time, so we have not collected all signatures" – said Tymoshenko.

She also promised during the next broadcasting to show letters, which she sent "to Yanukovych, communists and socialists included".

"It is the example of how politicians behave after elections, that is why I think that this question must be solved during referendum", - marked BYUT leader.

"And I would like to put another question on referendum – to forbid selling alcohol in the buffet of Verkhovna Rada, because it is impossible to work after dinner",- Tymoshenko joked.

Tymoshenko marked that right from today initiative groups for conducting of the referendum would be created. "And nobody will prevent our political force from this”, - she added.

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, starting from tomorrow, tents with agitation will be put up around the whole Ukraine. In addition, special booklets containing information on advantages of every form of ruling will be given to citizens. "Work will be done at a high organizational level", - said BYUT leader.

At that Tymoahenko marked that citizens of Ukraine must not only express their wishes as for the new text of Constitution, but also directly adopt it. For this reason, Yulia Tymoshenko stressed, adopting of the new text of Constitution during all-Ukrainian referendum would be the second stage of its development.

“All citizens of Ukraine, instead of three hundred deputies of parliament have a right to create new Constitution”, - underlined BYUT leader.

Yulia Tymoshenko assured that BYUT would support the form of ruling chosen by Ukrainian people.

She also appealed to all TV channels with a request to conduct TV debate concerning the new release of Constitution of Ukraine.
