Anti-crisis coalition and government are not ready for the dialog with opposition and count only on a power pressure to usurp the power.
In such a way Yulia Tymoshenko summed up the results of consultations concerning the way out of the political crisis; the discussion was conducted on Monday, March, 19, with participation of the President, Prime Minister, Head of the Supreme Soviet and leaders of parliamentary factions.
"Unfortunately, the managing team thinks today, that everything can be solved by force; and they are not ready for the dialogue. They consider that they will create 300 votes in the Parliament by force, by force they will "thrust" the President wherever they want, destroy our democratic coalition, having torn it to pieces – this is their plan. And they were not going to discuss real problems today, - declared Tymoshenko in the night broadcast of “The First National” TV channel in “Toloka” program.
According to the words of BYUT leader, "when they spoke in general terms, - that the President, Premier, Head of Supreme Soviet want the best of everything, - all went peacefully", but when we came to concrete questions, "both Premier and Head of Supreme Soviet became nervous and started to talk that it was time to stop arguing because actually there were no subject for the conversation".
As an example of such a concrete question with which opposition applied to power, Tymoshenko mentioned the problem of price forming for the gas of the local production.
"Why today gas produced in Ukraine is sold to Ukrainians for the domestic necessities at Russian and Turkmenian prices and sometimes even higher?" – she asked.
Yulia Tymoshenko agreed with President Viktor Yushchenko who confirmed on the meeting, as per her words, that “there is a political crisis in the country, there is a constitutional crisis in the country and there is a social and economic crisis in the country".
She reminded that President "at first entered the negotiation process with the Party of Regions, then he signed Universal, then he nominated Yanukovych, trusted, gave chances, laid all his hope on this team, attempted to create balances".
"What has happened has happened. And what has happened is obvious to everybody and it does not require any comment. Second and third Universal may be signed - but it seems to me that every next Universal will be worse than previous. That is why it is necessary to halt universals, adequately estimate the situation, diagnose it (and it can be diagnosed already), and after all just treat it with adequate means, instead of doing everything to make the disease chronic and everlasting", - declared Tymoshenko.
She underlined that anti crisis coalition by further amendments to the Constitution wants to reach absolute power and "either reduce the position of President at all, or elect President by the Parliament, - and then possibly Kalashnykov or Akhmetov will become presidents of our country, because majority in the Parliament elects".
"We are against such things and consider those changes of the Constitution banal power usurpation. And this anti-crisis coalition requires today three hundred votes through bribery and corruption exceptionally in order to change the Constitution, overcome the President’s veto, depreciate it, and deprive opposition of its influence in the Parliament, - declared Tymoshenko. - I think we will not allow to do this".
