“I think the coalition will go ahead,” said analyst Mikhail Pogrebinsky to The Guardian journalist, commenting on the final stages of coalition building between Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, Our Ukraine and Socialist party.
The analyst is positive that the coalition will not fall apart after six months, as it was suggested by some. He thinks, both partners needed each other more now, as Mr Yanukovich’s Party of Regions would pursue more hardline policies.
Pogrebinsky named Mrs. Tymoshenko as the factual winner after the three-month deadlock. Moreover, he made it clear that she now replaced Mr Yushchenko as the leading figure of the Orange revolution in Ukrainian politics.
