During the interparty congress of Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, which took place on Wednesday in Kyiv, the first ten of the Block’s election list was named.
So, the first ten people to represent Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc for parliamentary elections in March 2006 are:
1. Yulia Tymoshenko – the leader of the Bloc and Batkivschina political party, ex-prime-minister;
2. Oleksandr Turchynov – first deputy head of Batkivschina, former Security Sevice of Ukraine (SBU) chief;
3. Mykola Tomenko – former deputy prime-minister;
4. Vasyl Onopenko – the head of the Ukrainian Social-Democratic Party;
5. Andriy Shevchenko – known journalist, former vice-president of the National Television Company of
6. Levko Lukyanenko – the head of the Elders Council of Ukrainian Republican Party ‘Sobor’;
7. Hryhoriy Omelchenko – the member of Verkovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament);
8. Vitaliy Kurylo – the head of the
9. Mykola Petruk – commander-in-chief of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, colonel- general;
