The final list of Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc's candidates for the Parliamentary elections was approved during the interparty congress on Saturday, December 17th. According to the head of the Bloc's pre-electionary staff Oleksandr Turchynov, it would be "easy to win the elections and gladly to build Ukraine".

"The congress of Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc went organized, quick and without any conflict, because the massive work was done beforehand to form the election lists using wide inner-party discussion and the people's opinion. You can be sure to use the list like that," he said. "My soul is singing".

Besides, he noted that the congress "has shattered the slanderous forecasts of our opponents and ill-wishers, that were engaged in a disinformation war against the Bloc".

He made it clear that "there are no names of Volkov, Dyminsky, Zadorozhny and Nasalyk in the list. You would not find the names of former Prosecutor General Svyatoslav Piskun and the head of Supreme Economic Court Dmytro Prytyka in the list".

Instead, to the first ten names in the list, which were made public a week ago, there was added almost every member of the Bloc's faction in Verkhovna Rada, who came to the Parliament with Yulia Tymoshenko in 2002 and when through all the hardships of the opposition struggle with her. I mean Andriy Shkil, Oleg Bilorus, Yaroslav Fedorchuk and the others".

Turchynov also said that, along with Andriy Shevchenko, some other well-known journalists were included in the list: Stepan Kurpil (who is the author of one of the most successful media projects of Ukraine, the "High Castle" newspaper) and Oleh Lyashko (the "Freedom" editor), in particular.

"From the beginning to the end, from the first to the last day of the Kuchma's regime, there were no other kuchmism fighter of such consistency and adherence to principle as Lyashko," Turchynov added.

Aside from them, the top-level Ukrainian politologists will be the candidates for the deputies' seats, including Dmytro Vydrin, Volodymyr Polokhalo, Sergiy Odarych.

With such composition of candidates formed by the Bloc during the long discussions and careful selection, it would be easy to win the elections. And it would be joy to build the new Ukraine, based on justice and solidarity, Oleksandr Turchynov declared.

Yulia Tymoshenko will comment on the congress results during the briefing on Monday, December 19th, 11 AM.

Earlier the congress confirmed first ten names of the Bloc's list. It is as follows: Yulia Tymoshenko, Oleksandr Turchynov, Mykola Tomenko, Vasyl Onopenko, Andriy Shevchenko, Levko Lukyanenko, Hryhoriy Omelchenko, Vitaliy Kurylo, Mykola Petruk and Yevhen Suslov.

On Friday, December 16th, Oleksandr Turchynov that the public discussion and the competitive selection of candidates to the deputies' seats will be the base not just for the elections to Verkhovna Rada, but to the local councils, too.

Furthermore, it was decided by the congress that the candidates, which will run the elections being on the Bloc's list, have voluntary agreed to reject the deputies' immunity, state apartments, any material help and other usual privileges provided for the Parliament deputies.
