Kyiv will host an annual meeting of the Business Forum entitled "Modern Economics with New Energy" simultaneously with a traditional meeting of the EBRD Board Directors. The forum will discuss energy efficiency and energy security issues, use of renewable kinds of fuel in order to overcome lack of energy resources. Apart from this, the meeting participants will focus on infrastructure investment that is of great importance for Ukraine and Poland in view of Euro-2012, the EBRD press center told.
Another themes of the interest will be capital market development, agroindustrial complex, trends of high-tech industries, efforts to introduce norms of corporate and social accountability into business practice in all the region's countries, middle class development etc.
A special attention will be paid to price hikes on foodstuffs.
