Dear Viktor Andriyovych!
In response to your letter to the government dated March 4, 2008, demanding the immediate resumption of talks between NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and the Russian company Gazprom, and the normalization of relations in the gas sector, I inform you that theses talks haven’t been suspended even for a day since the start of February 2008.
Thanks to the government’s efforts, gas supplies to Ukraine were fully resumed on March 5, 2008.
The government is controlling the situation on the Ukrainian gas market and is capable of fully guaranteeing Ukraine’s energy security and defending its economic sovereignty.
We are always willing to offer you our shoulder and together vigorously work for the good of Ukraine.
One of our greatest values is to preserve the unity of our democratic coalition, which was given a unique chance in history to make a true Ukrainian breakthrough. Our strength is in our unity!

I wholeheartedly greet you with this grand event in the history of our country - the Day of Unity of Ukraine. I am deeply convinced that this event is an important milestone in the Ukrainian people’s struggle for freedom, which will remain in the memory of today’s generation and those to come. The idea of unity that was proclaimed on the square in front of St. Sofia marked the rebirth of the Ukrainian state and national dignity. It is not in vain that in our prayer for Ukraine we asked the Lord, “God, give us unity!” Because as the people say, “Where there is unity, there is strength!”
During her visit to Dnipropetrovsk, the Prime Minister visited branch #58 of the State Savings Bank of Ukraine to get acquainted with the organization and state of the repayment of money to those who had savings in the Savings Bank of the USSR (Oshchadbank).
As reported by UNIAN, among those people who, knowing about her visit, came to the branch, was Yulia Tymoshenko’s classmate Tetyana Lytvynchuk (Serheyeva).
The Prime Minister recognized her school friend, they hugged and exchanged phone numbers. Tetyana Lytvynchuk invited Yulia Tymoshenko to their 30 year anniversary.

We’ve celebrated the New Year and Christmas holidays. Now it’s time to get back to work.
I would like you to start getting used to politicians fulfilling their promises made during the elections.
We promised to return the devalued savings of the former USSR Savings Bank (Oshchadbank). And we are keeping our promise. Registration of depositors in the State Savings Bank of Ukraine started on January 8. To register you need to simply present your savings book, passport and a copy of your identification number. The administrator at the bank department will help you fill out the necessary documents. Your money will be transferred to your account within three days of registration!
I analyze stage-by-stage implementation of "Marshall plan" from Akhmetov and become convinced that it was written, probably, by domestic specialists (“marshalls” or generals from SCM-group), because it will never occur to any average manafort to put a first issue of such plan a task to steal "Dniproenergo" at a state”.
Rinat, if you are so excited with domestic energy and all that with is linked with it, why not to privatize Chornobyl NPP for example? By the way, it is possible to build a summer residence for a Prime Minister. A residence of Victor Yanukovych “Ukryttya” ("Shelter"). Or “Sarkofag” ("Sarcophagus"). It sounds not bad? Besides, the land is wonderful there, there are no neighbours, crucians are in the size of a whale shark and strawberry in the size of a water-melon.
We are the great country, we are brave people. We will overcome everything, we will succeed in everything! I am absolutely convinced, that time is near when all of us – in Kyiv and Donetsk, in Lutsk and in Sevastopol, on Zakarpattya and Polissya, will be proud of living in Ukraine. We will make our Ukrainian Breakthrough and certainly will build such state which we deserve. The state which will be admired by the whole world, when words “Ukrainskyi uspih” (Ukrainian success) will be quoted without transcriptions and translation.
We consider that not politicians, but people must write Constitution of Ukraine; people as the unique source of power have all legal rights for this. Only people have the right to determine and change constitutional system in Ukraine, and this right can not be usurped by the state, its organs or public officials.
To halt existing legal chaos and actual diarchy in the country is possible only by changing Basic Law – Constitution of Ukraine.
Meetings of citizens of Ukraine were held in all regions of Ukraine without an exception and almost in every administrative district of Ukraine.
It is an unprecedented case in the modern history of Ukraine, when so many people supported the appeal of political force.
We consider that CEC can not hinder conducting of referendum.
All the countries of the former Soviet Union are independent today. They have the right to formulate and to realize their own national interests. I believe it's the wrong tactic if Russia tries, with the help of various instruments, to restrict the freedom of these states.
The European countries, especially those of the old Europe, don't want to see Ukraine in the EU soon. At the same time, two-thirds of our country is not prepared to see themselves as part of the authoritarian entities that currently surround Russia. That's why, in the short or mid-term, Ukraine will put things in order and introduce European standards at home, and only then discuss all the possible processes of integration.
